Despite rough appearances, this game is actually a pretty fun monster catching RPG! It's got intuitive menus and the quick-fire RPG gameplay speed you might expect from SaGa 1 (or The Final Fantasy Legend) on the GameBoy, though with traditional level-up mechanics and monster catching and fusing. The game is completely free too, and even devoid of microtransactions! There's no reason not to check this hidden gem out. Also, you can play as an old man.

I played this on and off for several years and I'm happy with the updates its got in that time. There are 2 requests I have tho, more monster variety please. Most monster types are split into like 4 or 5 monsters and some types have mostly weaker monsters as them such as undead. More monster variety would make building themed teams so fun. Second, please have a monster gear merchant somewhere. The gear the towns sells is catered to humanoids so other monster types go un geared most of the game.

Thank you very much. Your two valuable comments are very helpful.
Would it be okay if the new monsters had different designs by other artists?

I reviewed this game once before but I had to do it again. My previous criticism is still valid. The game is a little clunky in certain aspects, and the translations could use some work but besides that, THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! After I finished the main game I had to review it again. It's nostalgic, it's challenging, and it's FUN. Yes, there are ads, but the rewards are great! Its also SO UNBELIEVABLY REFRESHING there's no game store in sight, it's not a money grab. I'd give 10 stars!
