OK game, lots of potential. Powerful players can't attack smaller players of a marginal threshold, which is great for those who are new. Dark Matter is the key resource in the game, used for upgrading buildings. This can be bought at the shop but is expensive. Pay to Win players can progress much faster than anyone else. Same situation you see in most games these days. Typical cash injection model of gameplay. It sucks that you can't just go build somewhere peacefully without being attacked while asleep. For the average person out there, you'll be constantly checking your phone to see if you're being attacked. I even found I lost some sleep worrying about this because it's extremely punishing on the victim. You only have a little space to hold damaged ships, so all the overspill get destroyed and lost forever.

Hi, there are some hints for keeping your base safe: corporate support, shields (the are cheap in the corporate shop), and long-haul flights -- sending ships away so they cannot be damaged by an attacker. You could also send fleets to corporate allies' defences -- it will also grant them certain safety.

Things have been limping along since the big update where a lot of people left. This game has great bones. What it needs is additional, purely fun gameplay features to keep players interested, and less pay-to-win features. This game has always felt like as much of a job as an escape. I'd be happy to buy a one-time-purchase Pro version, but I'm never goong to spend endless dollars in-game to have an edge.

Yes it is a freemium game but I love it. The developers tell you from the moment you start, that the game is still under development. So you get the chance to help make something truely great. I generally dispise this style of strategy game where you have no control over combat but this one is an exception. The community is friendly, and I have yet to encounter trolls. Though I know that that will no doubt change when this game is better known. My favorite aspect of the game is that you dont need to pay to advance. Because the game rewards you for milestones left and right. And resources are actively entering your stores rather than requiring you to harvest them when your mines and such fill up. This game also always has some sort of copetative pve type event going. Lastly, the game prevents griefing by setting a cap on how much of a power gap can exist between an attacking player and their target.
