Garbage updates make the app worse. I didn't have to have a cannon account before. I have zero need for a cannon account. Why do I now need one? Useless feature. I didn't use to have to manually change wifi networks before when disconnecting from the camera, it used to do it automatically once I closed the app, as in automatically switch back to my preferred wifi. Now I have to take extra steps for no good reason. Stop making apps worse with "updates" no one wants

Rubbish. Got this to work once. As far as I can tell, Canon don't seem to care. Still rubbish 3 years later. Gave it the benefit of the doubt with the updated app but still doesn't connect. The one time I did get it to connect (3 years ago) it was very useful but the app and camera just take me round in circles to no good effect. VERY FRUSTRATING!

While this requires a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection to a compatible Canon camera(I use the Canon EOS R50), it makes for a convenient way to transfer photos and videos from my camera to my phone. My one complaint is that videos can take a while to transfer. In that case, USB file transfer(with at least a 10 Gbps USB C cable) to a PC then to my phone may be faster. Even still, that's a minor complaint since the videos are fairly large files.
